- Clover - Gallon - Raw
Clover honey is a light colored mildly sweet honey. This honey has been packaged in a 1 gallon pail containing 12 lbs of honey. Each pail is weighed to ensure that you get everything that you pay for and usually a little more. Most beekeepers won't go through the trouble of weighing each pail but we know that the little extra effort helps to ensure customers are satisfied. Its just the way we do business.
Clovers are the most popular honey plants in the United States. White clover, alsike clover, and the white and yellow sweet clover plants are the most important for honey production. Depending on location and source, Clover honey varies in color from water-white to extra light amber and has a mild, delicate flavor. Our clover honey comes from Montana and the Dakotas and varies from almost winter white to a soft cream color when crystallized.
Because of its prolific contributions to honey production it is among the most widely recognized of the honey varieties. People typically identify clover honey as the honey commonly found on grocery store shelves.
Our classic clover honey is among the best in the United States and is of the finest quality. We gently warm our honey to make it pour-able but not completely liquid. So unlike the typical honey you find in the grocery stores our honey is considered raw and meets all the requirements mandated by the State of Utah to be labeled as such. Our honey will crystallize and typically does so with a smooth creamy consistency. This is not whipped or creamed honey. This is just naturally crystallizing pure raw honey.
|Raw||Our raw honey has never been heated over 105 degrees!|
|Unfiltered||Unfiltered honey retains some beeswax, pollen and the occasional bee part. Don't be alarmed. Its good for you.|
|Case||Contains 1 (one) pail|
|Gallon||Contains 12 lbs (5440 grams)|
|Plastic Pail||Packaged in a plastic pail because glass gallon jars are too fragile to ship. Long term storage is permitted in glass although plastic will also work. (But we hope you enjoy the honey so much it doesn't stay in storage long anyway!)|
|Single Source||This is a single source honey. Produced from blossoms in clover fields. To be considered single source 80% of the nectar is derived from the particular floral source. Slight variations occur depending on surroundings.|
